In 2015, Jason Noble and I began a collaborative project creating music from the dialects of Newfoundland. We had no idea that this project would take eight years to complete, but here we are! Our work is culminating in an album, One Foot in the Past, that is scheduled for release by Centrediscs in early 2024. It involved many different influences and many strains of research, which we have documented here.
