The Cicchillitti-Cowan guitar duo (CC Duo) will present their program titled “Lyrique” in Nelson on April 21st, 2024. From the lyricism of Ravel to the introspective melodies of Mompou, complimented by the liveliness of Tailleferre and Grieg, “Lyrique” offers a unique portrait of late 19th-mid 20th century repertoire arranged for classical guitar duo. CC duo transports us to this era through the sound colours and the intimate character of their instrument, while contrasting this music with new selections from celebrated Canadian composers.
