Since the release of Pour guitare in 2016, Steve has promoted the album through concerts within Canada, the United States, Scotland, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, and Norway. Reviews of the album have been published at thisisclassicalguitar.com, as well as in the Spring 2017 issues of Classical Guitare Magazine (USA), and Guitare Classique Magazine (France).
Up next is the recording of a new album for EMEC discos in Madrid, Spain. The album will feature the premiere recording of Arctic Sonata, written by Gulli Björnsson (http://gulli.tk/) and dedicated to Steve. The remainder of the album will consists of rarely performed works by important 20th century composers.
Steve has also been actively working on his Doctoral research at McGill, where he is developing a research-creation project alongside composer, Jason Noble (http://jasonnoble.ca/). The project involves using the diverse dialects and folksong traditions of Newfoundland and Labrador in new electroacoustic compositions for both classical and electric guitar.
